WHY I CONSIDER COCONUT OIL TO BE MY BEST BUD…
I use it on my skin, I add it to my food, I prescribe it to my patients.
It’s a very versatile little treat….
Coconut oil is rich in Laurie Acid which your body converts to monolaurin, and this has antiviral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal properties.
Coconut oil is also rich in capric acid, which shares some of the same antimicrobial benefits that help protect you from infections.
Not only is Coconut oil a great preventative for cold and flu, it is also rich is medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), which stimulate your body’s metabolism and can therefore help you to get rid of excess body fat.
I add about 1Table spoon to our oats every morning, that way I know it’s in the system without a fuss or a bother….( did you know husbands are just as difficult to persuade as little children).
