Megan has always been such a kind, warm and caring person, and so when I fell pregnant for the very first time; it was natural for me to call her for all sorts of advice and concerns, she is always calm and steady which is a huge support.
When I had Raven (2.5yrs) Megan equipped me with a personalised homeopathic box of first aid remedies for the common colds and bugs kiddies catch. This box has been the best sidekick, and I’ve never felt more confident about treating my children from home. Megan is always there for me, whenever I ask for advice on what remedies to give my children. It’s always stressful when your babies get sick and to have Megan’s reassurance, compliments, and guidance is such a blessing. Raven is at complete ease with “Dr Negan”.
It’s such a great feeling knowing me and my children can trust Megan, that our health is always her main priority and that she genuinely cares about her patients.
I met Megan during Preggy Yoga. Her classes were always magical and relaxing, so when I found out that she was a Doula – I knew it was meant to be!
From the onset, I wanted to have as pleasant a birthing experience as possible for both my husband and I. I didn’t want him panicked or frightened or grossed out which could effect me and the labour process!? So a birthing coach was the perfect solution – someone to ‘hold our hand’ and keep us calm. Which is exactly what Megan did, and more!
I started showing signs of going into labour a whole week before (the longest week of my life!) – Megan kept me sane with patient words of encouragement and positive thought… Then when the actual labour day arrived, it all happened VERY quickly – 3 hours start to finish!? But thank goodness she was there – she knew we had to get to the hospital quickly and she helped my husband load the bags & me into the car! He definitely would’ve stressed if he was doing this all on his own. Megan was the calm voice of reason and we didn’t doubt her for a second! We are so thankful to her for the safe, wonderful experience of bringing our baby girl into the world! Xx
Dr Megan Medina has been our family homeopath since 2012, when my first son, Victor, was a few months old. He is now 4 years old and I am proud to say has not had to make use of antibiotics thus far. He was prone to croup and we faced many terrifying nights where I thought I would have to take him to hospital but through Dr Medina’s guidance and homeopathic medicine he came through. In the ‘early days’ I used to visit the conventional Doctor first and then resort to homeopathy when the solutions offered by conventional medicine failed. Now homeopathy is always my first port of call. Dr Medina has a special touch with babies and little people – she is so in tune with their temperaments and needs and makes herself available all hours of the day, checking in to see how things are progressing. This kind of care is unheard of today.
Dr Medina has also been my guide through post-natal depression, and although I was seeing a psychologist, I found Dr Medina’s holistic approach is what saw me through the darkness. Dr Medina was my yoga instructor at the time and through the combination of homeopathy and yoga I learnt to see the power of the mind-body connection. Yoga and homeopathy have taught me to be more mindful of my own emotional state as well as the subtle stressors in the body. Conventional medicine numbs and silences the body, only suppressing the body’s alarm system so that small problems become bigger ones. Dr Medina has taught me to listen to my body and trust it.
This year I gave birth to a second boy, Max. He was a scheduled caesarian; however, he came early, without complications, and as a natural birth. I do believe that this was due to the conversations I had had with Dr Medina in which we discussed my fears about natural birth and my feelings of guilt surrounding my first birth.
I am continually grateful to have such a vital, enthusiastic and caring woman as my healthcare provider.
Dr. Megan has been such an amazing part of my journey into Motherhood. We are so blessed to have her as our Yoga teacher,Homeopath, advisor and most importantly our friend. She has been such an integral part of having a natural unmediated childbirth. From the beautiful yoga to the homeopathic remedies which were just right. I highly recommend Megan if you are looking for a holistic and non traditional approach to health care for mind, body, baby and soul!
HypnoBirthing with Megan was such a wonderful experience! A place to break free from typical birthing stereotypes, learn to trust your own feelings and intuition and KNOW that your baby is being born into this world gently and lovingly. I recommend this course to any pregnant woman who wants to own their birth. With these new tools, you are put on a journey of relaxation and self discovery as you prepare yourself mentally, physically and emotionally to welcome your new baby into the world!
We can’t even begin to thank you enough for the role you played in the birth of Guy Dixie Makepeace. Your gentle support is what helped bring him so peacefully into this world. You are an absolute angel with such a gift for what you do. We came home yesterday and we are doing well so far. He is so content and seems to have an inner peace about him. Lots of love.
I have been going to Dr Megan for a year and a half now. When I initially met her, I had no idea that homeopathic medicine, paired with a competent guide, would change my life in a way I could not imagine. Meg’s holistic approach to wellness has changed my outlook on what it is to be healthy, what is good for me, and what I need to do to achieve all round happiness and wellness in my life. Dr Meg has helped me with numerous changes in my life, all without the use of chemical medicine and all with the approach that everything in one’s life is connected.
Despite having practiced yoga for years before meeting Meg, it was never the personal journey it is for me now. With Megan’s love and support in her yoga practice, yoga class has become a space for me to be able to let go of my ego, become aware of who I am and accept myself with conscious self-love. Being on my yoga mat in one of Meg’s classes is definitely one of my “happy spaces” and a safe space where I can just “be” without judgement or expectation.
Dr Meg is the person that I call when I am not sure how to handle things – be it health or emotional. Her personal love for each detail of how you are feeling let’s you know that she really cares and that she wants nothing more than for you to be happy and well. I cannot recommend Dr Megan enough. She is an incredibly competent, intelligent human who takes the time to invest in each of her patients.
I am privileged to call her my Doctor.
Megan was the most incredible doula, friend and confidant throughout my pregnancy and birth. She has become someone who I treasure immensely and will continue to find comfort, advice and health care from throughout my baby girl’s life. She helped me gain control, empowering me when I felt completely powerless, helping me redirect my birth plan to the way I knew was best for my little angel. I changed care providers and hospitals nearing 30 weeks and achieved an incredibly intimate, baby focused and gentle birth journey as a result. Our hypnobirthing classes and practice at home brought my husband and i closer, inspired us, and prepared us on a deeper level for the birth of our baby. I became more and more excited as i got closer to experiencing birth, the birth plan we had chosen carefully from the atmosphere of the room to the birthing position to the words used throughout our labour. Although, after three days of labour with three inductions as a result of polyhydramnios, we met our little Wrenna through a c-section, my hypnobirthing principles were used throughout. Megan was by my side, guiding me through the contractions, using homeopathy and guided relaxation to assist in making our journey a peaceful and gentle one. Our relaxation techniques got me through the invasive procedures which i had not planned and helped me to enjoy and welcome every contraction. Megan was there the next day, assisting me in reflecting over the last few days, giving me remedies to help with the healing, giving breastfeeding advice and even helping me shower. She was such an integral part of our birth story and we are forever grateful for our hypnobirthing journey (lifelong skills to be used on an everyday basis) and her amazing skills as a doula which truly made our story one to be treasured.
I met Megan at preggie yoga. She did a lovely job with the group. Megan creates a great vibe and I believe it personally helped me a lot to stay fit during my pregnancy and to keep my back strong. I have a weak back but had no problems at all during my pregnancy.
Megan did hypnobirthing with me and my husband. We loved it! It was really practical and even my husband (who kind off joined to do me a favour) found it very useful. Megan came to our house and shared all her knowledge. She adjusted the content and pace to our needs. We had fun, got a lot wiser and felt ready for birth. Especially the discussions she started with us about ours fears were incredibly good. She really made me think and managed to get me so relaxed and focussed on our birth.
Based on our really nice hypnobirthing classes with Megan, we asked Megan to be our doula.
That was the best decision ever. I was induced and Megan was the one who told me to start walking around which actually got things started. She had so many practical advise during the process which helped me enormously. Also it was so nice for my husband to share taking care of me. I found that Megan was there but also not there, meaning that it was still my husband and me but she was supporting us. That was exactly what I needed and it s a special gift that Megan knows how to do this.
I would strongly recommend her.
